recent updates.

college's off for one week, thanks to the h1n1 virus.

was surprised with the news by Sh as we walked to the nearby mall, to watch the bowling tournament. all of us got very excited about the hols thingy when we first got to know that, as before that, we already heard of the spread of the h1n1 in the other campuses in
Malacca and all, were joking that next time might be our campus's turn for the h1n1 hols (=quarantine). how weird things come true eh?

but now.. with the temperature of 38.3'C, sore throat, and runny nose, am questioning myself if i were to be one of THEM..

btw, the bowling tournament was awesome, before that, i had never watched such tournament. the supporters for each programs flooded the arcade. not only the students took part, some VIP also did. the representatives of KTJ (my program) were fantastic at the game. really. and don't judge a book by its cover. through the game, only then i knew that the one who always disturb Nat was a pro bowler. geez..

25.07.09 (
saturday)-Frisbee tournament
few weeks ago, my friends and i made a sudden move to join the ultimate Frisbee tournament after the person-in-charge called upon a meeting with the whole KTJ-02, in between questioning why there's no one representing KTJ in that tournament. then. it was 3 days before the tournament, we started practising Frisbee in the park nearby our hostel. within that 3 days, we got to know the rules of the tournament, the ways of passing the plate as in backhand technique, forehand technique and so on. thanks to the seniors, who returned from UK for summer hols, having so much patient to mould us from nothing to someone who at least know the rough idea about Frisbee.

after prac, in the park.

so, on tournament day, not only Frisbee's tournament went on, basketball and volleyball too. all the participants and supporters went to campus, where the tournaments held, by campus's buses. my team members were slightly worried about the match, not to mention that all of us had never played anything in such big field (=football field) and that we had no experience in Frisbee tournament except for Sh. eeks. after some warm-up and discussion about our strategy, off 6 of us went into the field for the first match. surprisingly, we beat our first opponent (from
MEP program) by 2-0. i thought the happy-go-lucky charm was working on us then, and hoped that it'd continue charming us. the 2nd match wasn't as lucky as we thought it would be. we were knocked down by 0-2, by the experienced players from ACTP/ADFP program. their throws were very precise and their team was very coordinated, that's why they deserved the champion. our 3rd match was against the A-levels, to fight for the 1st runner-up placing. the score was damn close, 2-3. gosh! we were 2-2 in the first 15 mins. then they got us in the extended time, by taking the advantage of the moment as few was on guard when most of us attended to Je who was injured during the game, they made it to the goal. even we had lost, we still had one game to go, versus the Russian-Korean program, deciding the 2nd runner up for the Ultimate Frisbee tournament 2009. all of my team members rushed into the field, hugging each other, screaming like no one's business when we won that match, scoring 2-1. we believed in doing our own best in the game, not stressing on winning or losing. never did we expect that we'd be in rank 3 with only that 3 days of prac! incredible! damn lucky we were! and im glad that i helped to score. woohoo! before the tournament, at the bus stop.

we shared the victorious moment with 100 plus. LoL.

after our tournament, we went and supported the bkb team. great as they were, they managed to get into the finals, which would be held in the coming week. all the best to'em.

26.07.09 (
sunday)
felt a
lil sick in the morning, throat x feel well, thanks to yesterday's screaming in the field. a few friends of mine who are from Sarawak, kedah and perak, came over for klang's bkt. picked'em up from the ktm station. at first they were quite doubtful about my driving as it was their first time in my car. at the end of the day, they praised me, for my steady driving. woot. i brought'em to one of bkt restaurants where dad always bring me to. it was owned by dad's friend. did the tea thingy, and when the waiter approached me, asking for the menu..

me: yeah. my dad has already booked and gt the menu for the day.

Waiter (the restaurant's owner's son)
: who's ur dad?
me: ur dad's friend. the one who always come here for bkt..

(the waiter went and gt his dad to my table)

the boss:
lu e papa shi tiang? shi bu shi ah chia? (who's ur dad, is he Ah Chia?, in hokkien)
me:
bu shi.. ah sia.. papa ah sia.. (nono, ah sia, dad's ah sia)
the boss:
ah chia??
me: sia.
the boss:
ah chia? .. ah chia?
me:
ah sia papa. bu shi ah chia. (ah sia, not ah chia). *geez*

with limited knowledge of hokkien, i managed to understand what he was talking about. but, weird thing, he kept insisting my dad's ah chia. swt. then i told him that dad'll come later, asking him to wait then. as dad arrived the restaurant with mum and sis, the boss addressed him as ah-chia. *roll eyes* then only i knew that, to the boss, dad's ah-chia. -_-

after the bkt brunch, we set off to JJ. walk-walk around.. watched the latest's Potter movie. it x have much impact on me, even the great Dumbledore had died. i x cry for him, how pathetic .. put the blame on the movie then, as it wasn't that oOmphy enough for me to cry for him. LY bought each one of us a cup of tea from one of the department store in JJ, esp for me and SJ who were having sore throat, saying that if everyone's drinking that bitter thingy together, it might not be that bitter then. awh.. after that we headed to the big apple's donut. there. the cashier and the other workers were laughing at us as Sh pulled me away from the cash counter when i wanted to do the payment. LY did it, instead. my friends insisted to pay for the donuts and give it to my family as dad treated'em bkt that morning. doink. how thoughtful of'em.

medical check up

finally went for the medical check up. it took me less than 30 mins, unlike the hospital bkt kuda, which would only have time for me on the 27th, and would take about a month to get the report.
tomorrow i'd have to return to the health centre once again to get my report. have my fingers crossed that i x have any diseases. oh man.

the doc told me that, i have FOUR breasts instead of two, when i went and got my chest X-ray report. wth. how could that happen?! she added that the extra two was well hidden somewhere under my chest, scarring the hell outta me. well, that was in my dream. it was just a dream.. a DREAM pls. just a dream..

-INTEC 52 HOURS THE LONGEST NON-STOP MULTILINGUAL PUBLIC SPEAKING
well. set in the Malaysia Book of Record. grand as stated above, there's public speaking in English, BM, Chinese, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and not forgetting Tamil. 10 languages man! all in 52 hours, can you imagine that? oh yeah. you guys must be wonderring why was it 52 hours. well, it's simply because, this year's the 52nd year M'sia gt her independance, to show that INTEC ppl are thoughtful and patriotic. ;) that's why it's 52. it lasted about 3 days 2 nights. ha! hundreds of people participated in that event, to make it long enough for 52 hours. well, i kinda participated in that too, it's just that i was one of the audience, unlike those who had got the courage to speak up on stage. hehe.. my idea of being one of the public speakers was cancelled as i thought that since i'm in the japanese programme, i'd have to do the public speaking in japanese. and since my japanese's X that fluent.. so.. but it turned out that i could speak in any of that 10 languages.. it was too late when i found out about it. sigh. anyway, the event was a success!

why were there 2 speakers on the stage at the same time? the reason's because, right after one speaker had finished his speech, the other one continue right next. 52 hours, not one min's wasted. cool?

the speakers got this. priceless piece.

this two of my friends were fooling at the back. until..

one of the crews on that night hadda hold that up and strolled around the hall.

still, they continue. my friends.. haha!

-Ko-PLN events
Ko-PLN's something like co-curricular stuff.. i'd say that my ko-PLN's group event's interesting, not boring me to death. ha. there's kemahiran berkomunikasi, kemahiran berfikir and all.. sounds boring eh? it turned out to be games, cooking sessions like the pics below.

the pics below are of game, so called, the f1 race.

the pitt stop, where one person hadda gt down to be seated by the F1 fella, the others hadda change the ribbons, the so called tyres, and one hadda pour in the water into the F1 fella's mouth, so called pumping in petrol. pretty lame, but we had fun. LoL.

-my 2nd Indian wedding dinner
who's wedding? Youka's.. oh no. i mean, Youka's sis's.
before the dinner, Hong picked me and Chen from hse to Chalini's place (near the Police Station), getting her to help us with dressing up sari.. i suggested Hong to drive into the compound and park there, but we were told that no cars were allowed in that compound. so. she drove outta the compound and parked somewhere outside the PS. then we got down and went to Chalini's place on foot. the police guard on duty stopped us and asked..

Guard: kenapa?
Us : err. cari kawan.
Guard: buat apa?
Hong : pakai sari.

haha! the guard stared at us and then let us in. he must be wonderring if we're telling the truth.
Lol. after this that, we got to the function. the hall was packed with ppl. however, Youka managed to find us some seats. makan. the food was yummy =) was very full. later. camwhorred! in all, the wedding's colourful. very colourful!

the bride and the bridegroom

the driver in sari! steady~

-skytrex adventure
managed to accomplish the mission! woohoo! the only adventure which nearly made me cry was the tarzan swing. nearly.. still, the mission's completed!

-meeting up with my old buddy
she always seems like a big teddy to me, cute and funny. hehe..

-Taekwondo in INTEC

the poster above was everywhere in INTEC and also in both cemara and akasia college. i thought many ppl would be joining it and it'd be fun meeting tkd ppl from all over m'sia, as INTEC's one place where i met ppl from all over m'sia. really. it was rather disappointing to find that the amount of ppl who turned up for the training was less than 10. i mean, with that advertisement all over INTEC, and since it's the beginning of the training, there ought to be more than that amount of ppl. hhmmm.. training in the canteen was suffocating, with the poor air ventilation. anyway. i've decided, to stop, after my first training. i'd prefer my old training.

-another MGSian in INTEC.
MYi's got into INTEC last 2 weeks.. or was it 3 weeks ago? whatever. all i care is that im x the lone ranger from MGS in INTEC, not anymore. hehe. i wonder why there's so lil ppl from klang who gt the scholarship but MANY! from sarawak and kedah.. spent some time with her in the park nearby. it was nice.

-angels and demons! transformer!
one word to describe those movies, COOL!! angels and demons! read it. watched it with my college mates. watched transformer #2 with bunch of my high schmates. hey there! we ought to have more of gatherings like that. really!

where's this? outside of JJ, bkt tinggi. pretty huh?
